CrossFit Fundamentals focuses on the nine foundational movements of CrossFit, emphasizing proper movement and technique for variety of squat exercises, including the basic squat, the front squat with barbell, and the overhead squat with barbell. Additional focus is given to proper shoulder press, jerk press, and the push press technique to ensure maximum gains. The sumo deadlift high-pull and medicine ball clean are also emphasized.

BRICK requires that beginners to CrossFit complete six CrossFit Fundamentals classes before moving on to ensure a complete understanding and working knowledge of CrossFit.
